Dearest Neha,
Happy Anniversary! On this special day, I wanted to write down the feelings that everyday life sometimes leaves unspoken. Ever since you came into my life, the beautiful lines of English literature that I used to read have found their true meaning in you. You brought a quiet peace into my world and turned normal moments into poetry.
I often think about the important days that brought us together. I still remember the magic of April 19, 2024, the day we got engaged and started this wonderful chapter of our lives. That day felt like a dream, and it led us to the joy of September 27, when we officially got married and began our journey as husband and wife under the blessings of the Almighty. Every day since then has been a true blessing and a reminder of the promises we made on those two unforgettable days.
Today, my heart echoes the immortal words of William Shakespeare from his famous Sonnet 18:
"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate..."
You truly are more beautiful and gentler than any summer day. Through all the changing seasons of our life, your presence has always been my warmth and shelter.
Every single day, you remind me of the deep love found in Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poetry. In her words, I want to tell you:
"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach."
Thank you for bringing so much romance into my everyday life, and for sharing the quiet cups of tea, the endless talks, and the simple laughs that mean everything to me.
Looking back at our journey, I am reminded of what John Keats once wrote:
"A thing of beauty is a joy forever."
To me, you and our marriage are that eternal joy that grows sweeter with each passing year. Every memory we have built—from our engagement until now—is a treasure I hold close to my heart.
As we look to the future, I dream of all the tomorrows we will share, knowing that no matter where life takes us, my hand will always be in yours. I hope to walk this path with you forever, keeping our love as timeless as Shakespeare's final promise:
"So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee."

প্রিয় নেহা,
শুভ বিবাহবার্ষিকী! আজকের এই বিশেষ দিবসে মনে জমিয়া থাকা না-বলা কথাগুলি একটু চিঠির পাতায় ফুটিয়া তুলিতে ইচ্ছা করিল। তুমি আমার জীবনে পদার্পণ করিবার পর হইতে প্রতিদিনের সাধারণ জীবনটি যেন এক অপুর্ব কবিতায় রূপ লাভ করিয়াছে। তুমি আমার মনে যে প্রশান্তি আনিয়া দিয়াছ, তাহা অতুলনীয়।
আমাদের জীবনের বিশেষ দিনগুলির কথা আজও আমার অতিশয় স্মরণে আছে। ১৪৩১ বঙ্গাব্দের ৬ই বৈশাখের সেই দিনটি আমার অন্তরে অম্লান হইয়া আছে, যেদিন আমাদের বাগদান হইয়াছিল এবং আমাদের এই সুন্দর জীবনের সূচনা ঘটিয়াছিল। সেই দিনটি আমাদিগকে লইয়া আসিয়া মিলাইয়াছিল ঐ ১৪৩১ বঙ্গাব্দের ১২ই আশ্বিনের সেই আনন্দঘন মুহূর্তে।
তোমাকে নিয়া রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের সেই অমর বাণীটিই আমার চিত্তে জাগিয়া ওঠে—
"আমার প্রাণের পরে চলে গেল কে, বসন্তের বাতাসটুকুর মতো।"
তুমি ঠিক সেভাবেই আমার জীবনে আসিয়াছ। জীবনের সকল ঋতু পরিবর্তনে তোমার উপস্থিতিই আমার একমাত্র শান্তি ও আশ্রয়ের স্থল।
আমাদের এই ভালোবাসার পথচলায় জীবনানন্দ দাশের কবিতার ন্যায় তোমাকেও বলিতে ইচ্ছা করে—
"হাজার বছর ধরে আমি পথ হাঁটিতেছি পৃথিবীর পথে... দীর্ঘ পথ হাঁটিয়াছি; সিংহ ঘরের সমুদ্র থেকে নিশীথের অন্ধকারে... কোথায় দেখেছি আমি উইলোর তলে সেই শান্তি—সবুজ ঘাসের পরে!"
তুমি আমার জীবনে আসিবার পর হইতেই আমি সেই কাঙ্ক্ষিত শান্তি অন্বেষণ করিয়া পাইয়াছি। আমাদিগের একত্রে বসিয়া চা পান করা, অন্তহীন বাক্যালাপ ও সাধারণ হাসিমুখের মুহূর্তগুলি আমার নিকট পৃথিবীর সর্বাপেক্ষা মূল্যবান রত্ন। বাগদান হইতে শুরু করিয়া আজ অবধি আমরা যত স্মৃতি সঞ্চয় করিয়াছি, তাহার প্রতিটিই আমার হৃদয়ের অতি নিকটবর্তী।
আগামীর দিনগুলির পানে তাকাইয়া আমি এমন এক ভবিষ্যতের স্বপ্ন অবলোকন করি, যেখানে আমরা হস্ত ধারণ করিয়া সারা জীবন একত্রে অতিবাহিত করিব। কাজী নজরুলের কবিতার পঙ্ক্তির ন্যায় আমারও বলিতে ইচ্ছা করে—
"আমার আপনার চেয়ে আপন যে জন খুঁজি তারে আমি আপনার মনে।"
আমার জীবনের সুন্দরতম সঙ্গিনী, তোমাকে বিবাহবার্ষিকীর বহু প্রীতি ও শুভেচ্ছা। তোমাকে আমি অফুরন্ত ভালোবাসিব।
